“ My friend and I seeked out this place, and found it just had a grand reopening at the new location across the street and a new name: Fusion Supper Club. The staffers were friendly and attentative despite a busy night of a full house hosting a large wedding banquet. Although our food arrived 30 min later, the hostess was apologetic about the delay due to order mix ups and offered us a free dish of cold jelly fish: yummy and refreshing but a little too plain for my friend. The oyster pancake was great and tasted exactly the way I remembered it when I visited the restaurant at its old location several years ago. Salted chicken with basil hit the spot for me; it would have been perfection if I had milk tea to go with it. The duck blood and pigs intestines with sour cabbage in hot pot was delicious as well and generous in its proportions. And we completed the meal with an order of chinese spinach stir fried with garlic. ”

“ From the outside, this place looks like a complete dump, but the inside wasn't so bad. Our order for 5 on a Mother's Day weekend consisted of: -Spicy Duck blood & intestine: I'm def no fan of (coagulated) blood, but the intestine and soup/sauce base was tasty and spicy. I liked the pickled vegetable thrown in as well. -(secret menu) Lao pi (old skin) tofu: Even though this is more of an appetizer, this was by far my favorite dish. It's a crispy exterior tofu with a super soft interior and the best part is that it was seasoned so well! -(another secret menu) tofu: this one had 2 types of sauce (teriyaki & mayo-ish) and the tofu came in round disks. It wasn't the best in my opinion, mostly because I tasted a lot less of the tofu and more of the sauce. -Sanbei (3 cup) chicken: Maybe I should've ordered the frog legs, but this dish wasn't impressive. It kind of tasted like a watered down Lu Dan, with lots of chunks of garlic. -Salt&pepper squid: small, crispy fried squid served on top a bed of lettuce and crispy taro sticks! This dish was delicious! *Service (believe it or not) was actually good. Staff was polite and tried hard to be attentive despite being so busy. *Not sure if they take reservations, but the space is relatively big and they are easily able to seat many. *Prices are steeper compared to most Chinese establishments in the area. Ex: a tofu appetizer is $9.50 and soups are all $7+ *Cash only ”

“ Since I'm a frequenter of Rockville's Chinese food scene, you would think that I would have thoroughly understood the distinction between Bob's Noodle 66 and Bob's Shanghai 66 by now. Sadly, this was not the case. So, for all of the other confused individuals out there - Bob's Noodle 66 is now a standalone building located on the west side of N. Washington St. Bob's Shanghai 66 is in a shopping center on the east side of N. Washington St. that shares its parking lot with Walgreen's. This location was FORMERLY Noodle but is now Shanghai. Noodle was eerily empty during the weeknight dinner hour - 3 of us were the only customers in the entire restaurant for our meal, with only two more parties showing up as we were leaving. I had been warned not go with my favorite Taiwanese eats at Noodle (including oyster pancake and vermicelli). Instead, we ordered a beef pan fried flat noodles, sizzling flounder steak, and pork chops with scallions. I liked the flounder and rice noodles, but the pork chops were all bone and no meat. The biggest turnoff was probably the price - for a total tab of $51, I wish I had gotten more out of it. Also, the waiters stood around us while glued to their phones, although you can't really blame them for that because there weren't any other customers in the entire place. ”

“ So we've been frequenting the sister store of this place for quite some time now, Bob's Shanghai 66 and when a groupon popped for this place, we accidentally bought...let's just say a lot....of groupons thinking it was Bob's Shanghai. However, the record got put straight and one snowy morning, we found ourselves at this lovely establishment. Over the course of multiple visits, we have tried the following things... Crispy intestines 5/5: My boyfriend thinks that this is not worth the amount of money of pay because the portions are "small" but I think it's completely appropriate for an appetizer. Also, these are the most consistently, excellently cooked intestines I've had. They always have this amazingly crisp skin on the outside and a soft, but not chewy inside which is stuffed with scallion. They are unseasoned but they purposely give you salt to dust to your liking. Spicy beef noodle soup with shredded peppers 5/5: This was my favorite dish here and might be my favorite soup ever. The broth was excellent. I could have just sipped on that for days. The noodles were perfectly toothy and meaty. The peppers really do pack a punch so I would be careful before chowing down on them to readily. Buffalo fish with hot and spicy sauce 3/5: This was ok. The fish was amazingly soft but the sauce tasted like it came out of one of those bottles of sweet and hot chili paste that is ubiquitous on every counter in chinese take out joint. Also, there are lots of little bones so warning to those who are only used to fillets. San Bei Chicken 4/5 : My first time having this preparation was here, so I'm not sure exactly how it should taste, but this was a nice blend of spicy, tangy and an unknown quantity that I can't put my finger on. The portion was massive. Braised Pork belly 2/5: I think pork belly should be its own food group but this was too much for even me to handle. They don't mess around with this. The fat is just oozing on the meat and waiting to be slurped down. It's a coronary on a plate. Recommended for people who are a little adventurous because your daring will definitely pay off here. Safe eaters will find something for themselves too, but where's the fun in that? ”

“ BP and I are so excited to have found Bob's Noodle 66. Of course it was never lost, but this is seriously the best Taiwanese/Chinese place I have ever been to. To be honest, we meant to go to Bob's Shanghai for XLBs (Xiao Long Bao- dumplings filled with hot soup), but came in here instead. The meat does not taste gross and boiled like I have had in the past. Also, the noodle and rice dishes are very inexpensive (many are around $7.97). We ordered the Spicy Beef Tendon as an appetizer. It was interesting, not too spicy, and greasy. I was glad I got to try it, but will not be ordering it again. It had an interesting texture, but I knew that, I mean, it is beef tendon after all :) BP also ordered the Spicy Chicken (it was not served over rice or noodles, just with spicy green peppers) and the Spicy Beef over rice. I enjoyed the beef more than the chicken. The chicken was still good, but it was too spicy for me. There were too many peppers for me. This place is so authentic, I love that! I believe it will help me get a bit more culture to my palate and try other types of food. I want to try their what I have been told is the most popular dish on the menu: steamed fish (it is battered). I also want to try the Oyster pancake, Shaved Ice, maybe even the Stinky Tofu? Five stars for the great service! ”

“ While I'm not excited that my carpal tunnel therapist is in Rockville, I am excited that Bob's Noodle 66 is across the street from her office. I've always wanted to visit, but never had, until recently. I tried the Taiwanese hamburger (pork bun), beef noodle soup, and pork with bamboo. Everything was delicious. The pork in the bun was tender and flavorful. The beef noodle soup was huge, and had tons of beef, noodles, and vegges--they definitely don't skimp on quantity of ingredients. I love bamboo and couldn't wait to try real bamboo, not the stuff in a can. It was great, very crisp. That dish was quite fresh tasting, and I enjoyed it. Staff was quite friendly and welcoming, and my water and tea were never empty. Definitely a place to try. ”

“ I think Yelp needs to merge this "Bob's Noodle 66" with the other one since this is the new location. I think it would benefit the business since the old location has over 200 reviews. Anyways, the new location is nice and spacey. Parking is very tight and hard to get, but there are 3 hour spots that are free across the restaurant/road. My family and I have been here a few times. The portions are plentiful and the service is quick. If you don't know what to order, just ask the waitress. There are specials that are taped to the wall, but they are in Chinese. You really can't go wrong with any of their food. It is all unique and authentic. My only recommendation would be to order the Taiwanese Shaved Ice dessert at the end of dinner. It is very delicious and refreshing. For the toppings I like the red beans, tapioca pearls, and grass jelly. ”
